Chattanooga Trip - Day 4

Day 4 of our trip began with a trip downtown and a walk across the Walnut Street Bridge, which is the world's largest pedestrian bridge. Here's a picture of the girls from atop the bridge overlooking the Tennessee River:

After our walk, we headed to the Creative Discovery Museum. We've been here a few times before and the girls absolutely love it! They had a blast playing on the indoor playground, playing in the water play area, having a watercolor art lesson, making an animated movie, digging for dinosaur bones, playing instruments, and much more! They have a special exhibit there each year, and this year it's Clifford the Big Red Dog. There's an entire area devoted to Clifford and miniature versions of the buildings on Birdwell Island where Clifford lives. Even though the girls were about too old for this part, they still enjoyed. We also had fun on the rooftop learning about pulleys, levers, and wheels. We pretty much spent our entire day here. We took a break for lunch, but ate at the food place inside the Museum. Rachel was excited because they actually had PB&J sandwiches!!! After lunch we continued with our fun time in the Museum. One of the workers actually had a live snake out for the kids to touch. Rachel touched the snake once, but that was enough for her. Katelyn was brave though like her Daddy and they both touched the snake. Katelyn actually went back and touched it again so that I could get her picture. I, however, did not want to have anything to do with touching a snake!!!! They terrify me!!

After a full day at the Museum, it was time to head home. We had a really good trip and was pleased with all of our adventures! Some things we'd like to go back and do again. Other things we're glad we did once, but aren't sure it's something we want to spend money to go back and do again. But everything was worth doing at least once!!
