Fall Break - Day 7

Today is our last day at the beach. Robert & I took the girls over to the beach early this morning to try to get some pictures. However, my camera kept fogging up, so I didn't end up with nearly as many pictures as I thought I was getting. After pictures, we came back for some breakfast, and then all of us went to the beach. There were a few jellyfish, which freaks Katelyn out, so she stayed out of the water. But Robert & Rachel went and played on a sand bar and hunted for sand dollars. I joined them after a while and we found some more sand dollars. Katelyn sat in the sand beside Puddin & Papa and dug a big hole. Puddin & Papa made a semi-tent out of beach towels for her to sit under! After a couple of hours on the beach, we headed to the pool. The girls were happy that their friends Ally, Bailey, and Morgan were there too! So we played in the pool for about an hour before it was time for lunch. The funny thing is that everytime we go to the pool we find real live crabs in the pool! The first day we almost didn't believe Rachel when she said there was a crab in the pool. Now it's a ritual to check the pool for crabs when we get in!! And some of these aren't little crabs either! Some are pretty good size!!!

After lunch and a short rest, we headed back to the beach to enjoy our last afternoon on the beach.  We had lots of fun playing in the surf and sand some more, and the girls were able to play with their new friends one more time.  We headed to the pool for one last swim.  On our way up to the condo from the pool, it started to rain a little bit.  We went up, got changed, and ate supper (vegetable beef soup and cheese bread).  After supper the rain stopped, so we had the girls change clothes and went back over to the beach to try and get some more good pictures.  Between the pictures I took in the morning and then the ones from the evening, I think I got some good ones.

It was soon time to start packing our stuff up.  Thank goodness for a washer & dryer in our condo!  We came home with suitcases full of clean clothes!!!
