The girls were out of school on Monday for MLK day. I had tennis at 9:00, and when I left home around 8:30, it was flurrying just a little bit - nothing major. When I finished playing tennis at 10:30 and came outside, it was snowing like crazy and all the outdoor courts were white!!! I called Robert and asked if it was snowing at home and he said it was, but it was sticking to the ground. After I got home, the temp dropped a little bit, and the ground started turning white!!! We immediately all got dressed to go outside and play in the snow!!! We don't get snow here very often, so even just a little white on the ground is something to get excited about!!! We went out and played for awhile and had a good time. Rachel & I made a snowman - it took all the snow from half the front yard to make it!!! The girls tried to sled, but there wasn't enough for them to really sled very much, so Robert would run and pull them down the hill. Our neighbors from across the street came over and played with us for a little bit. Mike wasn't feeling well, but Jill came over and Tate and Carter played with the girls.
After playing in the snow, we came in for lunch and then rested up a little bit. Katelyn had tennis yesterday afternoon, so we went to that. After we got home, Robert & the girls went back outside to play some more while I fixed supper. It had snowed more while we went to tennis, so the girls were able to sled without Robert having to pull them!
It has continued to snow, and schools were closed today. The temp is in the low 20s with a wind chill of like 12! We're going to go out and play in a little bit. It's still snowing like crazy!!! The girls are so excited!!!
