What a Beautiful Day!!!

Today was a great day here at the Scheffer house! We started out the day with the girls' basketball games. Puddin and Papa came up last night and spent the night with us, so they were in the stands to cheer the girls on! Papaw and Lloyd also came to watch. Katelyn played a good game and had some good assists. She was disappointed she didn't score, but that's not the most important thing! Rachel had a good game too, and she scored a career-high 20 points! The final score of the game was 30-30!

After basketball we had lunch with Puddin and Papa here at our house and the girls were able to visit with them for a little bit. Then it was time for them to head back to Cookeville.

Robert took Rachel to swim practice this afternoon. She had a good time and enjoyed the attention she received from everyone there. Even though it's not swim season yet, her team is having a 3-day clinic in February, March, and April. She missed last night's practice because she had a birthday party to attend. But hopefully she'll be able to make the rest of the clinics.

While Robert & Rachel were gone to swim practice, Katelyn and I ran a few errands. I had to return some things at Kohl's and Wal-Mart. I had found Rachel a couple of triathlon outfits at Wal-Mart - running shorts and dri-fit tops! Each piece was only $3! You can't beat those prices! The shorts I bought were too big, so I had to get a smaller size.

Afterwards, we met back up with Robert & Rachel and went for a family bike ride! Robert & I both have new bikes, so we were able to all 4 go for a ride. Rachel rode over 3 miles, which is the distance she'll have to ride in the triathlon. She ran about a half mile afterwards, but was pretty tired. I can understand why! She played very hard in her basketball game this morning, then had swim practice where she swam hard, then she rode over 3 miles on her bike. I'd be tired after all of that too!

I'm so thankful the temps were warmer today and the sun was shining brightly! I could handle more days like today!
