I Have a 3rd Grader & a 1st Grader

Today was the girls' last day of school. Both girls had mixed emotions about today. They both said they were happy that it's summertime, but they're sad that school is over! Rachel's class had a short program. The teacher, Mrs. Patterson, presented character awards to each student. Rachel received the award for Encouragement. Mrs. Patterson also had each student come up with an award for themselves, and Rachel said that she deserved an award in spelling because she spells so well!! They sang a few of their favorite songs from Music class, gave Mrs. Patterson her gift, and got their report cards and gift from Mrs. Patterson. Rachel once again had a perfect report card with straight A's! She had a wonderful 2nd grade year - now it's on to 3rd grade!!!

Next was Katelyn's kindergarten program. They said a little poem using the letters in Kindergarten. Katelyn's line was "E is for excitment - this year we've had some!" They sang a song about kindergarten and we watched a picture slideshow set to music. Katelyn also had a perfect report card and is now ready for 1st grade!
