Fall Break 2010

We went to Navarre Beach, Florida for Fall Break. We stayed in the same condo for the 4th straight year! Mamaw & Papaw went with us this year. We had a great time and the weather was wonderful! The first couple of days were unseasonably cool, but the afternoons were still warm enough to be on the beach. By mid-week, the temps were back up to normal (80s). It never rained a drop while we were there!

On one of the cool mornings we decided to go to Pensacola and visit the Naval Aviation Museum. It was pretty cool, but the girls were a little bored by it. While on the naval base, we stopped and visited Fort Barrancas. It's an old fort that was first occupied by the Spanish, then eventually the US took it over and added to it. It's built right atop Pensacola Bay and is partially underground. The girls thought this was super cool!! They loved exploring the fort. We also stopped to see the Pensacola Lighthouse. We didn't actually climb up in it because we were too cheap to pay to do that!!!

Other than our one excursion to Pensacola, we spent all our time either at the beach or in the condo reading and/or playing games! We all read numerous books and played lots of games.

It was a great fall break!
