Both girls entered projects in the Social Studies Fair this year. Katelyn did a poster about the state of Oregon. She drew a map of the state and then typed out some facts about the state. Her project ended up in the "Maps" category and she won 3rd place for her grade!
As a 4th grader, Rachel's project had to follow the theme of "Debates & Diplomacy: Successes, Failures, and Consequences." She chose to do an exhibit about the Civil War. She researched it and came up with 3 successes, 3 failures, and 3 consequences. She ended up winning 1st place for 4th grade exhibits! Now she advances to the county social studies fair.
