Last Thursday night Rachel's swim team had a practice meet. It was good for Rachel to see what a real meet is like since this is her first year on a swim team. It was also good for Robert & I to see what a meet is like since we've never been to one before, and since we as the parents have to help out with all the volunteer jobs at the swim meet. Rachel swam in 5 events in the practice meet: (1) the 100m individual medley, (2) the 25m butterfly, (3) the 25m backstroke, (4) the 100m freestyle relay, and (5) the 100m medley relay. She did well, especially for her first meet!!!

You can see that she has writing on her arms - they suggest that we write on the swimmers' arms their event numbers, heat numbers, etc. so that they don't get confused. We also write her name on her back.
