Our Week-End

We had a very full week-end! On Friday and Saturday, we participated in our neighborhood yard sale. Our neighbors, Mike & Jill, brought some of their stuff over and set-up with us since they have a very steep driveway! The girls had lots of fun playing with Tate & Carter pretty much all day Friday during the yard sale. Friday evening Mamaw & Papaw came over and ate supper with us. Saturday it was yard sale time again!

Saturday afternoon we hosted a neighborhood egg hunt here at our house. We had a pretty good turnout. We invited everyone in our subdivision to come. Most of the families with kids came. We had over 400 eggs that we threw out over the backyard! We also had 24 prize eggs. I had a prize table set up so that if you found a prize egg, you got to pick something from the prize table. I think everyone had a good time. It was fun hanging out with our neighbors and getting to know them better.

Sunday was Easter! We started out our day at church. We went to Sunday School and then I played 3 songs with the handbells and Robert & I had nursery. I played a couple of songs, then went to the nursery, then went back to play again at the end of the service. After church we headed to Mamaw & Papaw's house for lunch and another egg hunt. What's funny is that we stuffed eggs with candy the girls already had! They didn't even figure it out! We had so much candy we didn't see any sense in getting more, so we recycled!!! We stayed over there and watched the Masters and then came home in time for bedtime.

Today the girls and I have been cleaning and straightening their rooms and the play room. At the yard sale I sold the little kitchen that had been in Katelyn's room. I told her I would get her a bookcase to put in its place. So this morning I ran out to Target and got a bookcase for her. It's one of those that's all cubes. I bought some of the colored canvas bins to go in some of the cubes. It looks really good! I think she likes it to!

Now we're just winding down and watching a video (Pooh) before heading to bed. It's back to school tomorrow!
