Summer Fun (Part 1 - Arctic Edge)

We had a great summer here at our house. One of the fun things to kick off our summer was VBS at our church. The above picture is of Rachel & Katelyn standing in front of one of the walls in the preschool craft area. Yes - I know - that sure is some fancy decorating!! HaHa!! I was in charge of preschool crafts this year, which includes ages 2 through completed kindergarten. We had lots of fun with glue, paint, markers, etc. Two year olds with a paint brush - loads of fun!!!

The girls really did have a great time and learned a lot. Of course, they said their favorite part of VBS was the crafts, but I think they were just trying to brown-nose a little bit!! They loved the music and had a blast dancing and singing everyday. Katelyn's favorite part of the Arctic Edge theme song was "you might see a caribou staring back at you" and putting her hands up on top of her head to be the antlers. She thought that was really funny! Actually, the funny part was watching the girls dance! They get soooo into the motions and all. If Rachel hears music, she just can't stand still - and she loves to get some hip action into it! She must get her dancing skills from her daddy!!!! HaHa!!

Stay tuned for Summer Fun (Part 2 - Dollywood Highlights).

I love how your girls look like they are best friends in that picture of them sitting on the steps. It is so sweet!
