Here are a couple of pictures from the doubles tournament I played in last week-end.
This first picture is of the women's 7.5 champions and runner-ups. In USTA tennis, you have a rating based on your level. So for 7.5 doubles, it means you have a 4.0 player and a 3.5 player. The higher the number, the better the player. From left to right is Lori (my partner), me, Lucretia, and Beth (my sister-in-law). Lori & I beat Beth & Lucretia for the championship. Can you tell by all the sweat that it was a tough match?!?!?!?
This next picture is of the 8.0 mixed champions and runner-ups. For this division, the players ratings have to add up to no more than 8.0. From left to right are Steve & Sue (the champions), and me & Lanny (the runner-ups). Steve & Sue both have a 4.0 rating, whereas I am a 3.5 and Lanny is a 4.5. This match was a tough match too, and Steve & Sue played great! They're on our mixed team (for the mixed league that started last night), so we represented our team well in the finals!!!

Hope the foot is getting better. Every night when Katelyn says her prayers, she always says "and help Kate's foot to get better!" Isn't that sweet!
